    backing plaster

    whats the best backing plaster to use when plaster on bricks, i used browing yesterday in the garage, but wasnt keen on it, its probs the first time thing when youve never done it before. whats the one coat plaster like?, im just experimenting things at the moment any tips and advice appreciated

    being practicing my plastering in the garage and when i finished skimming the wall i notice a few little patches on lumps in the plaster, could this be me not mixing the plaster well or something. any help appreciated

    i did a four day course before xmas and i learnt the basics and did a reasonable job now im carrying on learnin in my garage to improve my plastering skills, i found my course good as i learnt a lot and did alot as well.

    yeah you just use pva, you can get it cheap from screwfix its only 7quid a 5 litre bottle

    thanks for all the replys, i really appreciate it. i will have a good look at the float and see what the edges are like, its no easy but im a lot better than i was when i did the course, practice makes it perfect

    right, i was practicing in the garage this moring and when i was smoothing the plaster i was getting lines from the corner of the float, it was getting me annoyed as the wall looks good apart from the lines, whats the problem? my float aint old any help appreciated

    keeping plaster on the float when skimming

    right when i was doing my plastering course i kept dropping bits of plaster on the floor even though i havent put loads on the float, now im practicing in the garage and im still having the same problem but its not as bad what am i doing wrong?
