Checkatrade etc are businesses to them the tradesmen are their customers as long as they sell leads or their services I don't think they are that arsed about the standards of the work carried out, personally if I needs a trade I'd go by friends reccomendations too many cowboys about these days...

No its not the same as kiln dried its lovely to use it rubs up really well. Most red sand down round here is a bit gritty and as olican says inconsistent

I started a job 2 weeks ago customer is spot on I put an invoice in and get paid the same day and she brings cake on a Friday some good customers out there won't be nutting this one :-)
I mostly stick to working for local builders and domestic, can't be doing with all the shite that come with site work, like jumped up foremen dishing out red and yellow cards like some sort of football match
I had to travel 60 miles to Plymouth collage to do my level 2 and 3 was lucky though my tutor was spot on and taught us so much, he just had a passion for teaching and plastering. Its a shame things aren't like that now
My daughter invented a gizmo she named the blade runner, it was white so she sold the idea to BG for half a pack of wotsits and a peppa pig magazine. If your lucky you can still get them in certain skips
