What do you find are the best sizes and straight edge for levelling sand cement render?
I find can't really go wrong with a 1200mm darby with the handles. Was looking at getting maybe a 1.8 or 2.5 straight edge maybe something like this

I have just boarded and skimmed a house out 700m2 done the boarding on day rate dot dab £150 and the skimming on price £6.50 the vaulted ceiling was 110m2 which needed counted batten and boarding had 3 of us in total on that. The total price for labour came to around £8000 for the skimming...
Well there is fair bit of people around here that want slate and granite stonework doing and you can be looking at around £150-£200 a tonne so can quick add up, I think your right though cities prob won't be as much call for it. Stonework aint my favourite thing so if this system is any good...
Well for me I'm a plasterer and builder lots of people like the idea of stonework, in their gardens or fireplaces etc... but the cost of decent stone, obviously it takes longer to build than a standard block wall, you always end up with stone left over, could be another option for people who...
Cheers oli seems a good forum, Yeah we got through it just a lot harder than it needed to be never really had a problem with multi finish before maybe was just a bad batch like you said.
Yeah seemed to tare like it was too dry an you was using a dirty trowel not had it happen before, don't know if you use a skim speed but even straight after we laid it up the skim speed seemed to tare into it. You had a few problems recently then mate, you think its down to the multi finish?
