    patched a wall approx 1metre with hydraulic lime/washed sand in october 2022, the top coat is bagged lime superfine from Ty Mawr, couldn't put the top coat on until now, will the bag be ok? wet wall?. advice please guys.

    depends on the job, if i'm pebbledashing no lime in the scratch coat only the top coat, waterproofer kills the suction and lime creates it, if i'm rubbing up render, float or sponge finish i use lime in both coats, different plasterers different opinions.

    client want's to skim over old plastered wall,was going to pva and skim over,but thinking of sbr slurry then pva and skim,the skirting is on the wall so it's to tight to sbr and render cement/skim, anybody done sbr slurry then pva skim?

    if you are working to door frames,you might not be able to dot and dab,i would dot and dab but if not possible sand/cement with or without lime depending on preference.my mix would be 6:1:1 and then multi-finish.

    plastering a block built shed,rather than use sbr,i was thinkink of using a good waterproofer in both coats external render,travis perkins brand used in swimming pools or cementone,i usually use 250-300mm to a 8 sand 2cement scratch coat and 10 sand 2 cement final coat,any ideas guys?thanks

    i plastered a four storey stairwell,and they wanted all the walls curved top to bottom,i fixed plasterboard to the corners onto battens and then bonding,you could fix ply and eml then bonding either way it's less dubbing out on the internal corner.
