Is the cavity not just for air flow then? I suppose it keeps the s and c away from the OSB in the event of swelling and contracting? Also, if the laths are in place would it be possible to use EML across the lath instead of boards? I've seen a lot of that mentioned. Can't quite get my head...

Multi finish is great stuff. No matter what it's going on. Board finish is crap now. Again.

I used to love the stuff but now I've gone back to it I'm definitely missing something! First coats going in quicker than you'd normally expect really. Then second coat seem dead fatty and doesn't want to trowel right. board finish is not in my good books at the minute!
