    Strammit

Ok, so may have a job doing a bathroom refurb and customer mentioned straw walls which suggests Stramit. House late 80’s, so from what I know, this kind of confirms the likelihood. From what I can gather, there is no studwork with these walls, just the stramit butted up to each other to create...

Pushing myself to put a bit more on. Not massive gauges, but small rooms, ceilings and walls and getting better with the twitcher. Toilets, small bathrooms, utilities etc. Did the middle part of kitchen knock through today as last hit.

    What a load of shite!

Doing a wet room at mo for an elderly lady in sheltered type housing. Thought it was paramount board at first which is s**t, but this is even better. Sole plate and header with verticals on corners. Layer Pb tacked on, then layer dabbed middle, layer dabbed and tacked other side. No vertical...

    Finishing with speed skim

Anybody do it? Been experimenting today with speed skim SF (stainless steel blade). Can get it pretty close with the ST plastic blade but thought I'd give it a whirl. Comes up pretty good with a mist of water then final flatten with SF but will continue to experiment.

    patch this up

Potentially got a new customer and one of jobs is to patch this up on the porch canopy after my sparky mate has sorted the wet wiring. Was thinking of smashing the render/mesh out and putting some cement board back in and refinish. Don't really want to bother with it, but needs must sometimes as...

Got some sliding wardrobe doors to fit soon, and at mo, wardrobe has 2 hinged doors with about a foot of board above doors and archs around it. Need to modify opening and take out the PB straight to ceiling. Apart from ceilings, think walls are taped and jointed. If they were skimmed, Id...
