Not quite no, not far off and since it’s only half days or less each day I skimmed a couple bathroom ceilings in that 4 day period so was still home earlier than normal and with those extra ceilings taken into account I was better off than just doing 4 days plastering
Nothing massively stands out there to me, you don’t want loads of straight lines in it and I don’t think there is to many on this wall at all, I’ll admit I’ve made a few mistakes on it but nothing much IMO, biggest wall I’ve done to date on it and overall very happy wit it.
Oh yea 100% but if they are spending that type of money on a wall or whatever then they have a right to want it perfect I guess, but yea the customers were happy with it and want another feature wall doing in their lounge.
The established Venetian company’s seem to be getting the work in mate but yea it’s hard just starting out, I’ve had quite a bit of interest when I’ve posted my sample boards or walls I’ve done for friends&family but as soon as you tell them the price you don’t hear anything back, i think the...
Hi, I learned with Anthony evans at venetianplastering northwest or stucco&stucco do a weeks course, I wouldn’t recommend just jumping straight in on practicing on a wall at home until you’ve done the course buddy, repairing Venetian can be done but it’s very hard to do so.
Loads of work out there and will continue to be so... to much scaremongering going on. Worked all the way through the first 2 lockdowns and will continue to do so through this one
It was tiled before and all seemed fine before I re skimmed the kitchen, not to sure if there was a gap between wall&floor, when I take skirting off I’ll have a look.
disclaimer also had a few
Nothing is behind it, its a wall that’s on show nowhere near any appliances. It’s a bit of wall in between the door to get in the kitchen and the door that goes down to the cellar.
Yea it’s in the kitchen... it’s weird, it’s the only part of the house where this is happening and I’m totally lost for why. Wall feels dry to touch apart from one bit which looks damp. Thought maybe it was a salt issue but I’m not sure anymore.
Hi guys and girls.
I have a damp issue in my house, I don’t really ever get involved with the damp proofing side of things so I’m aa little lost on how to fix the problem. It’s an internal wall but I do have a cellar below so presuming the damps rising from there. Would hacking off 1m high and...
Been trying to find a decent pair of stilt straps, I’ve been through previous posts on here and the ones you guys said are decent Amazon don’t sell anymore, was just wondering if anyone else can recommend where to get some decent ones from.
On the middle setting Which is more than bright enough you’ll get 4hrs off a 18v battery mate, on the highest setting it’ll last 2hrs roughly. Brilliant light, worth the money I think personally. Got a little hook on the bottom so you can hang It from spot light holes in ceiling.
I had the same issue with my festool mixer, kept spinning after I’d finish mixing and gradually got worse doing more regular until
It was every time ended up sending it back and them replacing it only for the new one to do the same after about 6 months, ended up getting my money back and getting...
Bloody hate it when you just finish a job and find out they are painting it themselves, go back knowing you’ve left a good job and looks like that have painted it with a fence brush
I was on his first course, only just started doing them, he doesn’t do micro.
I have been looking into Craig Welsh at cimentart course but just wondered If anyone could recommend any others.
Been looking into doing a course on micro cement, Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to where to go..... I’ve recently done a Weeks course on venetian plastering and loved it but also want to learn micro.
Thanks guys & girls
Thanks for this, I was really unsure if to claim or not for the 2nd grant but after reading this I think I will as material costs have risen because of all this and lack of BG finish about. Thank you.
Completely agree, local wickes is bloody useless, will never use DIY stores again for finish, would ideally like to switch to carlite if I can find it for a little cheaper than £11 a bag.
Nah, they told me they would email with an exact delivery date but all I got was a phone call from driver when he was 10mins away, tbh I’ve found the delivery side of things a bit of a nightmare, always had to chase it up.
