Evening. Can SBR be added to the plaster mix to improve water resistance for e.g in a kitchen/ceiling?? Anyone done this for that reason?

I've painted way past the shower area with Mapei wet room tanking fluid, which will be plastered. The shower will be tiled of course. Will plaster adhere to the tanking fluid or will it need some SBR or something else over the top of it first??
