300 a week is an insult to the working man.
can you blame him for taking it ... nope, id take it.
but that's why I hate all theses mega clubs/franchises, there not interested in the working class supporter just flogging shirts in the middle east. how can a working man take his family to a game 2 adults and 2 children, it would be over 200 quid. football at the top is getting more and more isolated, the premier league wants to take a leaf out of the bundesleague in Germany where football clubs are owned by the fans. The problem is theres no reason to change, as most gormless 'fans' say they are supporters of a club, and sit and watch them on tv, sky loves you.
im a sheffield Wednesday fan I go to most home games and even at that level it pushing 30 quid a ticket, I watch another local team Harrogate town if there at home, its 4 quid in and you can have a beer with the players after the game, granted the quality's not there, but its what it should be about.
 
Don't know what utd fans think about this but I dont think old whisky nose wudv signed an ageing fatting Rooney for that amount. Personally I think its bad business. Isn't he just gonna hang around on the money now bleeding resources ?

I think he has arguably been our best player since Moyes took over but I don't thing ANY player is worth these ridiculous amounts of money they pay them!! I think its do or die for Moyes next season despite a 6 year contract?? Don't think he'll keep his job if things don't improve next season?? Rooney is a good player but not worth that kind of money?? :RpS_confused:
 
Thing is he once spent 1200 quid on a hooker which at the time was about 1% of his weekly wage,
I often imagine the state of what 1% of my weekly wage would buy me :-0
 
Contracts mean nothing if results don't come.

I just think Rooney getting older now will find it harder to keep fit.

I think he has bottled it a few times by staying put. Not many have gone onto other clubs and still been class.
Zidane,laudrup,Seedorf, Figo,Robbie Savage
I think Suarez can leave and be successfull anywhere.

As a united fan I would of utter cord when he wanted out..
 
got rid of sky tv last year, and honestly do not miss it at all, and when I see these obscene ammounts of money being paid to shrek I am glad I am not a subscriber anymore, because at the time in my own small, small , way I was contributing to shreks wages
