Hi guys,

Just wondered what you charge for a spread and a labourer per day?

What do you pay a decent labourer who wants to learn to plaster?

Do you get them to meet you at the job or do you pick them up on route?

Thanks

200- 250 a day between u both. if hes just labouring start him at 50 a day and then go up as he starts skimming hardwalling dabbing etc... if they can drive then meet em at the job,if not and hes decent pick him up

Seems fair i supose. Thanks

"gloucestershire" why is that a bit more than normal rates? im quite busy so i charge this to make it worth beeing busy! i will do £200 a day with a lab if i need to. or even leave the lab at home and charge £14-£150

we've got a builder who will have a load of flats ready for us soon, and wants us to go for £250 a day, a 2 and 1 gang. erm..no thanks!

i'm sure we could but he'd want to pay less then, worth millions and he's one of the tightest c**ts i know. i'd happily muck in labouring for more money.

couldn't do it on a price mate, trust me if i told you how this lot work you wouldnt believe me. they've had 10 chippys doing ONE roof since september, and he said that it won't be ready for us until february, they only just started using power tools in the last few years. theres an old I****n chippy there who still uses a yankee screwdriver and they normally hang about 2 doors a day each. the next flat is never ready until we are actually in it and we tend to do their snagging ourselves just so we can get some work done.

Have you done much work for him before? If his gang is hit and miss you'd be better off as 2 spreads as your labourer would be stood around surely, put across the point, £250 for three blokes isn't a lot of money!!

thats what we do spunky, 2 medium mixes a day. we never rush ourselves when we're on his work. he doesnt seem to mind as he's used to slow workers. its a nice break from time to time.
