3D Concrete Printer - MTec Duo Mix 2000 - WANTED

Morning all,
I'm a 3D concrete printer based in Northern Ireland.
This forum comes up every time I google questions about equipment and materials so I thought I would sign up.
I am also in the market for an M-Tec Duo Mix 2000 (variable speed), our current machine pumps too fast (6-7l/min), the layers of mortar get too heavy and don't have enough time to set.
This is a video of a recent print we did. Easy to get to 200-300mm high, but need a slower pump and thinner layers to get higher, hence the need for the Duo Mix 2000.
Would also be interested in renting for 6-8 weeks if anyone has one, can collect if required.

Hi,

The standard Duo-Mix wouldn’t be suitable for this. However, the Duo-Mix Connect is designed for this exact purpose.

We are the main dealer for M-tec in the UK and Ireland and would be happy to help you with purchasing a machine, however, due to it being such a specialised unit, it isn’t available for hire.

I see a gap in the market. Tapit duo mix connect contract hire.

Morning Ryan,
thanks for picking up on my request. I was actually speaking with Andy (and Nick from MTec) about this earlier in the week and they told me a new machine would take 6-8 weeks to get in and unfortunately we don't have the time.
I think we will be okay with the Duo Mix 2000 for now, variable speed is our issue rather than connectivity. Hopefully in the future we will be in the market for the higher spec Connect model but for now I am just looking for something to deliver on our project for the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow this November.
All the best,
Róisín

I'm printing planters to start with, need to get them tested by BRE for strength and stability. Then I plan to move into modular building components. My robot is fixed on a 1m high plinth so can print columns up to 3.8m high or longer wall sections up to about 2.5-3m. It has an oval section/donut plan build space. At the moment I have it set up to print on 3 pallets to heights of around 1.8m as long as my Mtec Duo MIx 2000 is up to the job!
