Parex is quite good £80.00 per tub 1mm grit does 16m2 dont know if this is cheap though as i always insist client supplies

well last job i was on we used 300 buckets of the stuff and i refuse to supply materials on a job that big incase the company goes bankrupt... which they did by the way... i was £4,120.00 out of pocket on labour only... 200 x £80.00 = £16,000.00 and thats just for the top coat... the basecoat, mesh and beads would be another £25,000.00
Im to long in the tooth now to be taken for a ride I can handle the £4k loss as i charged them £5.00 a meter over the odds anyway so ended up about £8k on top...
Anyway if big so called companies cant supply the materials this should set the bells ringing in your head... i know it does mine

marmorit is good gear and the basecoat sm700 is the nuts

ok ill give them a call do you have any tips with acrylic ive never touched the stuff i like my good old s&c but times are moving on

when applying topcoat always leave a wet line especially on scaffold lifts try to reach down as far as you can and have someone pick up the wet line underneath

when you put the top coat on... scrape it on as tight as fu*k then scrape more off.... honestly you think you have scraped it tight but you havent... when rubbing up make sure you go one way only in a circular motion.. you will get more material on your plastic float to scrape off make sure the base coat is the same colour as the top coat... if it isnt it will have to be primed with the same colour as top coat...

im starting the job monday spraying cpi then going to do the acrylic in the spring time when its abit warmer .first time out with the m-tech im crapping it

i think granisol is around 40 a 25 kg tub, never used it , but i got 4 acrylic jobs i cant finish till weather turns, rather do mono tbh.

they are all the same mate granisol is cantillana you can get an accelerator orgatech i think its called

So with acrylic do you put the sealer on let it dry then acrylic top coat very thin then then quick rub straight away then done ??

i did a small acrylic job once to a porchway for someone and did the little ceiling in there as well, absolutely ruined my brand new snickers overalls in about 2.5 nano seconds, acrylic on your head...in your hair.....nice :'(
