Seeing alot of adverts on crap book at min for plasterers . Is it just me but i hate seeing pics of plastered walls as part of a advert . I could do a shite wall and make it look good in a picture. Not advertised since I first started but if I was to now I think I.d put pay when painted on advert

A while back on here when kitchy was on here I was going through a real bad period of it drying out and looking dog turd til painted he said not to worry unless it looks pony then a few others said the same loads get it now and just go with it but it’s defo a struggle when you first get it I used to love when it was dry and looked flawless or had the lines that made it look like a football pitch if that makes sense

What happened to kitchy? He was one of the die hard regulars when I first come on the forum?

Yeah same for me he just bowed out he was alright as it happens he joined not long before me,think the uni finish stuff killed him off in the end

I'm finding that this pallet of Multi is all different streaky colours after the first trowel, never mind once it's dry.
Spend half my time checking for faults that aren't even there!

We been finding that you go to top coat and it’s a different bloody colour. Had a ceiling the other day took five hours to finish, did one beginning of last year it was on at half eight and I couldn’t finish it till five in the afternoon, it was a damp house but that doesn’t explain it. It used to take two hours on board and three over artex but that’s all out the window now

the same problem with board finish before xmas. The gear was supplied by SIG for a site for 1 of the big boy builders. The finish was that bad the directors of the firm( 1 of the 1s that make 100s of mil profit) have got involved and called BG in about the quality of the stuff they re producing. Finished there now but my m8s who are still on the job hav said nothings changed..its getting nearly as bad as the old knuaf skim lol

I've honestly never had any problems with it tell a lie maybe once or twice but that's it. Maybe all the shite is getting dumped on site? there not arsed about the finish ;)

I said to my son recently that it's getting more and more like the Knauf crap.
Unbelievably slimy and hopeless trying to fill out to a thick frame or bead. For the first time ever I'm going round filling out first.

I've got greasy stuff at the moment that's all streaky after first trowel....better than the last lot that went dead stodgy straight away and teared (tore?)like f**k from second flatten till it went hard
