Airless Plastering vs Conventional Plastering

I am after some advice on what is better Airless Plastering or the Conventional Method.

I have recently brought a 3 bedroom house and I am doing a full refurbishment prior to moving in, I have been provided multiple quotes on skimming the full house including ceilings.

One company mentioned Airless Plastering and have provided me a quote for this method and the conventional method. I have tried to do some research on the airless method but there doesn't seem to be much information out there.

Could you please let me know, in your opinion on which way is better and/or what method I should choose for my house?

Thanks in advance.

Was the airless price more than conventional plastering?

Skim, regardless of cost. Seriously have you done any research on the quality of finish if the installer is competent.

I can't really see airless plastering working well on reskimming a house in my opinion. It goes on 1mm thick and prep work needs to be perfect. If the ceilings are artex or there's existing cracks in walls etc I can't see it doing the job. It's alot less effort on the body for the company to use airless so maybe they're trying to move over to it as much as possible. Very quick system too.
I've only ever used it once on a new build though, so happily corrected on this if anyones used it on a reskim

I’ve always liked the sound of it except I think they sand it for final finish. No need for pva so any suction would allow to build up maybe?
@plas1 has done some I think?

what i like about it is i could speay til what ever time really. and just pick up where left off. where as skim be gotta get this hit on by x time and sit with it.

thinking about hireing a gun fir when i do my house...
come home.from work. spray for a hour. next night sand
. no setting up etc

On old domestic re skims, you can embed a fine mesh into the first coat. It’s more expensive than traditional skimming, but the finish is exceptional. The material I use is about £14 a bag and covers a bit more than a bag of multi. If you flatten properly, sanding is minimal. It is more labour intensive, because of the prep, but actual application of the product is quick.

So I heard, you had a falling out and blocked him I understand.
I find him a decent bloke once you get to know him but then again I’ve known a lot of people much worse
No we've never had a falling out, I just block people that really grate.
I think there's only three on my blocked list, I keep trying to add @Danny as well but 'computer says no'.
