Algeeman yer weirdo!!!

My old best method was two coats, flatten, two wet steel trowels with spray bottle and then final/cross dry plaz or super flex. Used to dry out really good but past two years nearly every way I try very inconsistent results.

How I play but with brush not spray bottle

I'm f**k*d if I know how that works!!!

Spat dummy out and told 1 of lads to finish troweling up and went and sulked outside and start beading render up on scaffold!

Phhhhhhh F*****g skimmers!!!!

Your heads programmed into a certain way of skimming you've been at it that long.
I was the same.
As mad as it sounds you need to let the flex trowel do the work mate.
I've shown loads of lads on site only a hand full picked it up with a bit of patience (y)

Just keep them flat mate without any pressure..it will do the skimming for ya (y)

Scottie5 was the same way of skimming but he used speedskims on big areas.

IMHO the flexi's can be used just fine, like the spats, but your timings have to be completely different. Get over the gear way earlier and they don't leave ripples or waves.

So after ye second coat flatten with water then wet your trowel . Then cross it with flex . Then wet it again.

Do any two people on here skim same way

Anyone else do this?

Put it on with mt
Wet gear up n lay in same mix
Flatten immediately with speedskim or plazi

Leave it for bit. Flatten with mt. Wet cross mt

I've been switched sites to push on a Taylor whimpey job.
Supposed to be taped... again.
Dabbed a week ago.
That much fuucking dab on front of boards it's horrondeus.
It just crubbles away in my hands.
Everything seems brittle as fuuck.

Plastering not complicated. Weirdos make it complicated. Keep it simple. No need for fancy trowels if your a good plaster you can use anything

100% agree. But i never seen anyone do
A big gauge and i mean big, with just a 14” trowel
