Anyone used aluminum beads/trims before?

We ordered some samples from manufacturers:

Mainly because they offer a large variety of profiles that can be used for shadow gaps, architrave etc that you don't seem to get in PVC, steel. The quality is fantastic, very strong and they're straight as an arrow. My only concern is that the flanges are a lot thicker than those on galvanised beads which means you can't get away with a thin skim :). I'm not a plasterer but will be expecting a plasterer to use them when I do my house next year.

So, anyone used them?

Why?

Just the same idea as steel beads really, except some are in designed so that part of the bead is on show so they come pre finished.

For example. this bead https://needitnow.info/images/products/aluminium_profiles/680025.gif would allow you to have recessed skirting boards, whereby the skirting board is flush with the plaster finish. The bead creates a division between the plasterboard and skirting in the form of a shadow gap channel.

I guess a lot of it is architectural details etc but in the case of flush skirting it would have practical benefits as well, ie, being able to put furniture flush up against the wall.

I have seen similar wrap around beads on site before and they come precoloured to match windows and such but never personally used them, normally the dri liners or tackers fix them on.
