Did a job recently, couple of rooms skimmed. Customer very happy paid, even sent text saying thanks looks great blahblah.

Then asked me to do some more work, but needed it doing within 2 weeks, I moved a job to fit it in for them. Did the work very happy again but said no cash on them so asked for my bank details, I said I will text them over later.

Sent the details over and she replied thanks will make payment this week.

1 week later no payment so i sent a text asking if it had been sent as not received it, no reply.

Not even sure what to do now, f**k**g annoying as f**k. Only £500 but bugging me
 
I did a job before bits and pieces, she said is cash alright? Yeah all spends. Give me a cheque forward dated 6days looked a right tool when I went in the bank. It’s was £230

Had a customer not while ago who struggled at the end of the job and said we need to wait for another month to finish the job cos I won't be able to pay you. Finished the job anyway and told him not to worry about it . Payment was made exactly on the date he said.
Priced a job a month ago over 200m2 mono. Customer said will,think about it and will come back to me . Had a call today - half the money before start and then 1k every month!?!?!?! I mean seriously! Never heard of anything like this ffs!

People getting work done they can't afford will only end badly
 
It’s same when say skimming Livingroom and door bell rings customer at work so feel obliged to see who it is , open door , oh hi mate we from dfs got a sofa delivery is it ok to bring it in
 
Or bathroom boarding it all out , ding dong , open door , hi mate we got bath toilet and sink is ok to pop it on the landing , dosh is spent before we even finished on all the good stuff
 
We did a render on a domestic job last year quite a big house fair bit on it, plus I included scaffold etc.
The couple were in there late 60s, we agreed price of £9,200 plus vat to be paid on completion.
Anyhow last day comes up we've finished etc ive seen her potering about through the day, end of the day I hand an invoice over to her, she says I've already paid this, bemused I sort of said what you on about, oh I forgot to tell you I've left the cash in the front of your van at lunch time ....so it had been on my seat all afternoon by the side of the road in clear view in a carrier bag, I said I don't want cash it's no good to me, we agreed on a cheque, so a lot of pissing about later she gives me a cheque, I pay it in, it gets returned, the mad dear had post dated it for some reason for 2 weeks until she came back off holiday, then a week to clear after it was finally paid on...the general public :rolleyes:

Mental! anything over 2k I have 50% first unless I know them. Don't like it f**k off. Genuine people don't mind, they can see all my information online.
