Another Reason Why TPF Is Awesome

I get a lot of emails every day from members and the public and here is one that I have received today...

Hi Danny

I was hoping to send <name removed> a PM; I need a quote of a rendering job and from what I've read he's the man for the job in <place removed>.

Every time I click "Send New Message" I get a permissions error. Is my account <username removed> working properly or should I just post to a board instead?

Perhaps I've missed something, feel free to point me to an FAQ if I'm just being stupid.

BTW - excellent resource, I'm only a DIYer but have picked up some useful tips already.

Ok so an issue with pm's but I have forwarded it to the right user and they should get a lovely rendering job out of it

Some of you may doubt how powerful this forum is and don't think people are listening or reading... but I can assure they are....

I also got a private message off a member at the weekend thanking me for the forum because they have landed an 8 week contract from the forum for him and his lads.... and yes this member is a well respected member of the TPF community and posts regularly...

Its nice to hear when members are making the most out of TPF and that is helping them and their families...

I recieve PM's daily and this one really touched a nerve and brought a tear to my eye,

flynnyman I have been a member for a while and at first I was really shy which is what I was like in school coz I was bullied. I got in with a local dampproofing firm who wouldn't let me do anything except mix cement but with your advise and expertise I am now running the firm so thanks for everything you have taught me and I appreciate you for all your support, cheers artisan xx
