Anybody Else Using Dropbox?

Hi all,

Is anybody else using dropbox? https://db.tt/gSO5eiyH Its a free cloud service.

I have been using to basically free up space on my PC and also make it accessible on any device and if needs be I can access it from another computer.

Its also great for sharing big files like photos and videos with friends and family :-)

ive deleted it is very annoying in just the same way the google one is. everytime i take a pic its telling me its saved it, '''GGGRRRRRR THERE ARE SOME PICS I DONT WANT SAVING FFS' I couldnt find anywhere to stop them doing it so i deleted it
 
lol :-)

I use it to back up nigh on everything :-) photos videos and important files that I may need when i am on my travels... I am working towards having everything remote so that I can easily change PC's and if I lose a laptop or something i dont lose work :-)

Its a tool again.. not sure how many would find it useful but still its something to look at :-)

I'm a week to late from a Dropbox, I've had a problem with my laptop and it wouldn't reboot so I gave it to a mate that was a so called IT expert :confused: he gave me it back and said "I've got it working but there's nothing on it :RpS_confused:" .?

So I've lost all my business files all my invoices, quotes,letterheads all my year ending accounts including this year the lot plus all my photos and music
I've taken to a shop to see if they can recover anything but its all been wiped and and gone

how much storage is in dropbox. I backed up my comp onto a ext disc drive and a week later my computer packed in phew

It's a common problem with laptops. The way to resolve the issue is to disconnect the mains power and remove the battery. Then hold the power button for 30 secs to force a shutdown.


It sounds as though the IT expert formatted your hard disk in the process which is why there is no data on your laptop. However, you can recover this data by downloading the software:

Will give it a try but I'm sure the operating system has been restored and wipe all the partitions

Danny how do i stop it from auto storing my pics after I have taken one with my phone?

There was no need for them to re-install the operating system. Exercise caution if you have to use their services again.
