Id take you on in a heart beat mate but just aint got the work at the mo. Things WILL pick up though mate. Hang in there.
 
True I hate it when you search yer pants pockets , think their clear and bung em in the machine only to find loads of screws in the rubber but when you pull em out ;D
 
sorry to hear that mate, its s**t at the best of times at the minute. i hope someone takes you on and gives you a chance, i genuinely mean that mark.
 
kirk said he would be able to teach me but he wouldnt be able to pay me but im looking for someone to do this but i would need some money aswell i will try and get to the port perhaps 1 day a week
 
you cant have it both ways mate, you've either got to work for f**k all, with which he would be doing you a favour, or take s**t wages and take the typical route of not even touching a trowel for ages.
 
i suppose that is 1 way of looking at it went out yesterday for our dinner at 4 and never come home till 2 we were bladdererd me an the missus fell over near ruis and couldnt get up
 
i think it was good of kirk to offer to teach u that s what u wanted all along but i have to say conner u cant teach any one to plaster the have to learn themselfs u can only guide aperson
 
Hold on you were going to pay someone to teach you the other day and now Kirks offered to do it for free thats not what your after?!? Doesnt add up. I cant remember the last time me n the mrs went for a meal coz things are tight at the mo with me just settin up. You must be doin alright if you've got 4 kids and can afford to go drinkin for 10hrs after bein told your boss only wants you to work 2 days a week!
Learnin a trade took me yrs of hard, hard, hard graft and sacrifice and Ive still got a long way to go. It wasn't handed to me on a plate.
 
yeah i know brucie really good of kirk to do that it was just a 1 off yesterday but really enjoyed the blow out he only rang me last nite at 9
 
Just an idea mate, get a free press.. get unlimited texts on your phone and text all the trades (especially plasterers) mobile numbers in your local area, say you will work as a labourer for 30-40 kwid a day and that you want to learn on the job, its quick, free and I bet you will get a few phone calls thats what I did when I first started out and it worked great! :)
