How much do apprentices get paid these days?? Would I be too old to go in as an apprentice as I'm 26?

not at all mate, as long as you shut up and listen. don't try and tell the plasterer what to do. if you've got no experience you are probably looking around 40 a day. depending on how stingy the spread is. if you can do boarding, already know how to mix up etc then 60 maybe. like i say better to ask someone whos looking for a labourer

the prices arent too bad here. its just getting the work. if you can get it then you charge pretty much as you were. a brickie i know is on 160 a day and is stacked under. and a chippy is on 180!

hoseling up st ly 40, a day whren they no when to mix perfectly every time and srim and bead when r trowling up them 60 a day

Our 2, 17 year old lads gets £30 a day and sometimes i think thats too much but they are both keen to learn.

What is it with young uns nowadays always texting it takes me ages to write a text but they seem to do it in seconds.

when i was looking for vans if there was a mobile number i would text them enquiring etc. too many times ive tried ringing people and no answer. at least that way they know who i am, what i want, and have got my number.

Yeah, thats fair enough....But texting for a quote for some plastering work, is a bit lazy, no?....Timewasters straight away
