anybody know who the best person is to speak to about taking on an aprentice?i already employ 2 other spreads,so thought i might go down the route of taking on a young lad.

we deal with the local training council, the same people who run train to gain.

dont bother,, been there before,costs a fortune and you have to be well hot on ppe and holiday pay etc etc and most dont give a damn!

you can get a grant for apprentices, they pay u a grand or something, then they pay towards their wages too, like 50 quid per week i believe, if your interested i can get some info a friend has done it in the past ?

no they dont mr, only if you pay into the cib fund. we have one and i have asked and we get jack

Contact C Skills or your local Learning and Skills Council office or even your local college. C skillls are the ones that can hekp you out with a grant. You can advertise and pick your own apprentice or they may have somebody on their books who is interested.
