artex patch

got a doorway to fill in its a artex bark pattern hows this done is it a special roler or something else any help would go down great cheers

I used to use an old paint roller, with strips cut off an old bike inner tube , then stretch em over the roller like big rubber bands about half an inch to an inch appart and hey presto, ;D or you can just buy one

Cut a piece of 40mm plastic pipe & slide it onto a 9" roller cage,
Apply textured finish to wall with brush & then put roller onto top left corner of wall & lightly roll from top to bottom then work left to right repeating the process but slightly overlapping each time.
This will give you the bark effect.
