got a job to do for a mate soon. hes just bought a house, wants the walls skimming but no the lids. hes on a bit of a budget the tight f**k*r.

anyway, theyve took out a few walls and new lights etc, and wants the stippled artex patched. i used to do a bit with my old boss but have never tried patching. its stippled but not spiky, the spikes are kinda rounded off.

is it do-able? if so, whats the best way??

You can but its never perfect just use an Artex stipple brush.

I think the pattern you are on about is done with a roller a stipple brush will make it spikey but as every one else is saying it wont look good unless the whole lot is done.

so im guessing skimming would be the obvious answer? and prob wouldnt take much longer by the time a few holes have been filled and patched?
