that really jacks me off when people who dont know how to do something comes on a forum and asks how much to charge. :'( :'(
 
so whats worse..
not knowing how to do something and asking how to do it having already priced the job..
or...
having just done a plastering course, asking how much to charge?
 
that depends on weather you are pricing something you know how to do, like the prick on ebuild asking how much to charge and how to render some walls. reckons he had been plastering for 7 years. NO he had been a skimmer for 7 years, not a plasterer. i dont agree in telling people what i charge, after all, i could be telling someone who is pricing against me. end of
 
yeh i agree but the price i give is the price ill do it for... is someone wants to do it for less and the customer comes back to me and asks if i can beat it i tell em no, the price i gave you is the price ill do it for, end of..
i tend not to price over the phone though... odd boardy ceiling maybe, but a reskim... never in a million years..

to a point yes, but we get a lot on here that have been out, quoted and GOT the job, then ask 'how do i do the job ive actually given a price for'...

Ummm whole house whats the spec? Float and set? Gypliner and board? Dabbing? Also is there any screeding to be done?

people gettin *S*hity on here theys days .YOU ain't a plasterer if you cant do it ALL and done so for more than 10 years u can't ask for any help unless its a top spec spray flex fix dry wall bonda mix job

fink to many old boys are off work titing at the young ones taking on work.

every1 starts some were

yeah you bloody poofter.....your just bitter and twisted cause when you started out there wernt any course available .....wernt any electricity either....wheel wasnt invented either...... & everyone thought the world was flat

I'm no chancer simplybesty I done my apprenticeship city & guilds in 91/92. I just believe the cream always rises to the top and I'm not afraid of any competition.
 
Steady on Simps, next you will be telling us about 50 kilo bags and mixing with copper pipes and bike cogs.Tidy that like.
