Base coat on lightweight blocks

Could anyone advise on a base coat to go over the dreaded lightweight blocks for mono. Is S&C a no no for mono? Normally use weber or parex for the top coat

Yes I much prefer it, plus the weber rep told me the closer to the substrate the better with mono, whereas thin coat is the top 3rd but what the fck do they know haha

Nothing.

You could seal them with Parex Microgobetis and put mesh in your first pass of Mono.
