Whats the thinnest stop bead you can get away with on mono I'm very limited for space on this job I'm using grey krend ft cheers
 
if your going on at that thickness, id be giving the blockwork a coat of primer, depending on what type of mono your using.
ie k rend -r7, parex -micro etc as the problem you have with puting on 10mm of mono is the risk of 'ghosting' ie the chance of the blockwork joints showing through particular when wet. The problem as well is the poor quality of standard concreate blocks now, in that they may be deemed as 7n but theres alsorts of recycled shite in them.
