Small question about beading. I have some corner beads in my garage but I don't know if I can use them for what I'm bout to do.

There is 12 of them and I'm.wanting to use them on an outside wall I'm plastering. They are silver but can they be used for outside. My brother suggested there is internal and external beads and if I have the wrong one, they can rust and ruin my piers.

Is he right?

Galvanised is a dull metal and stainless is really Shiney try scratching it with a Stanley knife or cut a bit

I don't know if true because the funny face reply? If they are really shiny, I can use for outside a and if a grey dull look, for inside?

OP, just do what most builders here done in the boom, just throw them on and hope for the best lol.

As for galvanized and stainless steel, this is one thing that has crossed my mind a few times. If one galvanizes something to stop it rusting, why do galvanized beads end up rusting if used outside.

Just buy some new beads then you know you got that right thing for the job....if you're even a bit unsure dont risk it for a few pounds......would be a right feck up if you got rust bleeding through.

Lodan stainless steel beads rnt a few pounds..there very expensive..just buy plastic beads spunkface to b on safe side

I just found them for £5.50 for 3m length....probably £20 quid for corners and 20 odd for stops, think it was only 6m when I said a few pounds that what I meant....in the grand scheme of things...didnt literally mean £3:LOL:
