Just putting this down for a mate in a bathroom over floorboards jus wondering best adhesive was thinking flexible rapid set would thid be right thanks

Use decoupling membrane adhesive, you can use schulters own for the ditra if you want to follow full manufacturers spec or use ardex decoupling membrane adhesive both good

I didn't read the original questions as per usual. Lol
Ditra is good to stop the cracks, but not over classic floorboards, floor needs revamp or stick with lino

I use 6mm Hardiebacker, I've used 12mm before when there was a lot of flex in the floor.. rapid set flexible adhesive, screwed down and tape and bed in the joints. You get a very solid floor once tiled, same again with flexible rapid set
