Best method to repair plaster on brickwork

Hello,

I am looking for advice on what the best way is to repair the plaster on the brickwork in the attached photo.

The depth is 15mm in some places, I have seen various suggestions and the two most common seem to be hardwall or sand and cement mix,

From what I’ve read and watched the process I’m edging towards is : wetting the brickwork, mixing a 4:1 ratio of plastering sand/cement and a plasticiser. (Slightly unsure whether I need to build up the 15mm depth in two coats with scratching in between or i can go in one hit)

I intend on getting the room fully plastered at a later date

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated,

Cheers

Cheers monkey,

the wall carries on for about 3m to the right and 1m above, originally why I was put off this idea and thought of repairing what seems a small section, above the brickwork in the photo is block work in which the sand and cement based mix does not come off too well without bringing the block with it. (See photo)

Is the sand/cement mix plus plasticiser a no no for this kind of repair?

Cheers
