Dont take it personal its just lately a lot of new members are logging on and asking someone else to price a job for them and you wouldnt tell the next plasterer who is coming to give another price your price would you. The forum is very helpfull but giving your competitors your price for the job is not really the way it works and seeing as your a new member and it was your first post it pisses people off but on the other hand welcome to the forum xxx

look mate, just work it out like you were laying bricks for the first time...
how much you reckon you can get done and finished to the standard he's expecting in one day... bollox to hours, 1 days work, in sets....
dunno how quick you are, whether you know all the tips and tricks, or can even apply em to a decent standard, but just do it like that... thats all people ever get told anyway unless youre a forum vet, then we just take the p'ss out of each other anyway...

someone elses price is gonna be different to my price cos we got different overheads, he might not need the work as much as me etc etc etc...

m2 per day x day rate + deisel + tax or just m2 x day rate, up to you mate...

times are f'ckin hard at the mo in this game, good spreads are getting 1.50 a metre... double it if your boarding...

say 4 quid...

now if you go and price that job and get it and put an established spreads nose out, you aint gonna be reight popular...

youll f'ck that ceiling up, guaranteed...

you aint upset me pal,
just get numerous posts asking for prices for this prices for that,so lads get sick of it.

Work out what you want to earn per day say 100 quid work out how long the job will take say 10 days so 100 x 10 you're total labours a grand divide this by how many metres 300 is 3.33 perm work out what materials cost perm add this to you're labour and it gives you you're supply rate you can include dust sheets fuel anything along as you've got a total

just like to say sorry for upsetting anyone , that was,nt my intention,
we know mate, but it still p'sses everyone off when the first post is either 'give me a job' or 'how much should i charge'...
stick around, your a noob, so what, you aint the lowest of the low, theres young spring chickens straight off a 3 day course that know jack sh't about f'ck all and they still seem to think they should be spoon fed... at least youve been in the construction industry a bloody good while and have a good idea of the crack..
get in with another spread if your intention is to become a spread... an established spread... your enthusiasm will prolly work wonders, he'll prolly be ready for f'ckin toppin himself and you come along and generate a bit of work... never know, as long as you dont expect to make moire than he does, he might be grateful... its the tw@ts that seem to think everyone in the building trade is a c'nt that really upsets people...
like 'builders' that are 'businessmen' first and have never picked a f'ckin trowel up in their pathetic weedy little lives...

in all honesty, because youve said where your background is... its prolly the only reason the threads still running... most of the time they just get binned...

when you say you wo0rked for a firm was that plastering if it was then you shud know if not tough figuyre it out. anything else we can help you with other than pricing please feel free to ask

thats a good price on the brick Lucius!
I know what you mean mate but have been quoting this price for a while now and winning jobs on the extension side of it, obviously would have to be cheaper on a big new build but then again depends on the detail, ive heard of lads working for £250 a thou that equals £1.50 a metre for skimming, sorry not for me.
