Hi all,

I have a British Industry Steel Federation House and I'm considering using tyrolene render on the corrugated upper section. Can anyone please advise me on what boarded material to use underneath so the tyrolene takes to it?

Hi Bruce

You want to be looking at something like Knauf Aquapanel Exterior as your directly applied render carrier board. Have a look at the link in my signature below, this shows timber frame solutions (as this type of solution is mainly geared towards timber frame buildings, but it can be used on steel frame buildings as well.

Depending on the size of the walling, you will need to apply a basecoat and mesh first to hold the walling together and create a fully weather tight finish.
