Got two doorways and and window. Basically above them the plaster is cracked blown etc. so ive removed it to reveal flat black lintels with lot of small holes in. They have large breeze blocks above, these are abit loose. Hence all the cracks etc.

the previous plasterer has used i think browning or somet on the lintel then skimmed. So the browning has l;ost its adhesion with the lintel all the way along,. Ive hacked away all the blown plaster from top of doorway to ceiling, bout 2foot and the width of the doorway. I was thinking of dabbing a peice of board to the blocks and the lintel, but wondered if dab will stick to the lintel.

what would anyone else do?

should be fine mate, pva the block first to kill the dust and make sure that you allow enough board adhesive to give the board a good push so the adhesive pushes through the holes so it grips .... proper like :)
