Blue Bosh, Green Bosh, Makita, Hilti....

A joiner I work with swears down by 'Hilti'. He won't touch anything else. I have just upgraded to a Bosh Blue set, drill & driver. It was a toss up between that or a Makita set at the same price, but the Bosh Blue came with a 3rd battery, so that clinched the deal. :-)

I'm a bit tight and behind the times.

A lad I know swears by Panasonic gear.

I've got a hilti 22a impact, hes a beast drives the biggest of the big screws in like nothing.

His 14.4a Panasonic impact does exactly the same

So does everyone who buys a dewalt nowadays

You not rate them Stuart? Those brushless impact drills have some power? A builder I do work for has the full dewalt package......
I have cordless and collated dewalt

I have a couple but they aren't what they used to be since they took over black and decker, still good though.

If you are using your impact drive a load ,I will recommend TD148D -3600 rpm against 2500 for Hilti . Found my self the 14v is better than the 22v Hilti . Got Bosch gear as well but they are not as good .Best screwgun award goes to Hilti , no doubt.

When i first started to screw the boards up there was an old boy carpenter who used his regularly and couldn't see himself buying one of those fancy cordless drills. :)
Even now if I'm just doing a small job ( say a small bathroom ) I still will use hammer and clout nails. f**k getting all the power tools out for about 25 screws or nails.! The only power tool I always have out is my paddle. Always clean it to f**k after as well. I started in the days of the pole and bike cog to mix. f**k**g horrible.

Weirdo. It's one drill and screws lol other wise it's still a hammer and nails

When the old boys I worked with were fixing plasterboard they had one of those nail pouches but always made me snigger when they would grab handfuls of clout nails they easy dropped more than half all over the floor and hardly any made it to the pouch. needless to say I had to go round picking all the ones on the floor up ffs !!

I treated my self to a new Hilti te-7c for pinning eps it's a dream cost a bit more than other brands but will last a lot longer than other brands thinking of getting the cordless te7 kit too
