Board finish or multi ?

I was put off board finish last time I used it. Multi is being nice and constant atm I think.

Hi guys . Is board finish better to use than multi on plasterboard ? I've Never used it. Have always used multi.Cheers
the only real difference between the two is board finish goes off slightly quicker than multi as plaster boards are classed as a low suction background
you can pretty much treat board finish as multi and skim owt with it, re-skims backing coats etc....board finish is even recommended for skimming Dri-coat as it's a cement based low suction background.

Board Finish is better for low suction backgrounds and multi best suited to higher suction backgrounds as it holds more water in it for suction. I’d suggest board for the winter months so your not hanging round as long.

I’ve preferred board for a long time but multi has been good lately as in setting times consistent, mixing nice and creamy can be put on really tight or thickish and finishes/ dries nice.
