Hi guys
Going onto a job tommorow which the wallpaper has been stripped but has taken the top layer of the plasterboard leaving brown paper .
In other words its a right mess and i know if i just pva im going to get bubbling
I haven't used wickes bonding agent would this hold the paper back?
cheers
Ricky

That's what I normally do but the pva can make it boss at bits ,tbh every wall is goosed I have just got in my head the wickes might seal it better with the grit ,was hoping someone would have had some experience with it.
Thanks for the reply

Are you sure its not the original brown side, if they take the paper off you'd be back to gypsum

grit only gives grip, it won't make the paper any differerent than pva, plasterers have gone loopy for grit and colours in their pva/bonding, they have certain advantages on some occasions over pva but not here, we will soon have rainbow pva which can be coated horizontal then vertical to create a chequers super grip

The boards haven't been reversed the wallpaper was stubborn to come of as the board had no paint on it facking joiners stripping wallpaper .
