Boarding window reveals

Fellas,
Just boarded out a room with foil-backed insulation board. Only prob is that the interior
window reveals are not secure enough for a skim.

My pal screwed them in no prob with rawl plugs at the top and bottom, but the Victorian lime plastered reveal just crumbled when drilling into the middle. The result a loose-ish board.

Could I use some no more nails type product and then prop the boards? We used adhesive for all the other boards but thats run out, and we only need a small amount to stick these reveal boards. Any ideas?

Cheers

IF ITS SOLID ENOUGH BEHIND THE BOARD YOU CAN USE MAYBE GRIPFILL BUT ONLY IF ITS SOLID IF ITS OLD AND FALLING DOWN ID REMOVE AND MAKE GOOD WITH TIMBER AND RE BOARD

You said you boarded a room out with foil backed boards, and have run out of adhesive , what adhesive did you use for these boards mate

years ago I did a brilliant job of dod and dabbing a room out with foil backed board..... it looked great until the next day when it all went pop ... lol

woudnt ever advise sticking foiled back boards on,you can peel the foil off easily, best batton and screw em on

sort of defeats the object peeling the foil off but your right mate there not going to stick.

You cant stick foil back mate it just wont have it though ive never tried foam so i dont know, just stick the reveals wth gripfil but dont use foil back.
