when boading a room do you guys board the celling first or the walls first, im dot and dabbing the walls and the cellig are joists
 
Should always board ceiling first, you sometimes find first ceiling joist (upstairs) can be a fair distance from wall, so ceiling boards need "propping up" with the boards on the walls.
 
If ime doing metal stud and MF ceiling i do the walls first as i find it is easier to fix the angle trim through the boards into the stud, other than that ceilings first.

yep denfinately do the ceiling first and the same when you come to skim, you don't want to get snots on your freshly plastered walls :) :)
