Boardy on paper tape.

Yes mate I paper tape most of my jobs and use easi fill 45 or gyroc filler or Knauf mp finish before skimming with board finish or multi.
The tape and filler needs to be left to set though first. I never use board finish or multi to bed the tapes though.

Why do you do that bud ?
 
Seen a job someone started and dissapeared on.tape plaster etc,,,left on job.
I have never done it this method, I know british gypsum spec u can but never tried it.
Thats a bit severe James doing it that way.

What did he bed the tapes on with?

If I get job,will pva where needed,then fiba rest before board finish.
If you are set on using paper you can bed with board finish,cheaper than easier fill 45.
Proper fiba tape is 30% stronger than paper,so the spec says James,so I see no need for paper.
