did anybody witness that program ''bobski the builder'' a polish builder vs a british builder.... the
quality off the british builders work was fecking teribble and the pebble dashing........ ive never seen
anything like it.

just finished watching it and i dunno, im shocked, sure enough they didn't pick the best tradesmen from either country but both of them are equally liable for being dodgy. the finish from the british side was ridiculous! yet the polish guy not doing things properly cos him money in the end yet knew he cut corners, its like watching rogue traders yet they know they are being filmed :o
 
got told there were both reali cheep extetions..like 12,000 or sumit.. we dont do 1 for under £22,000
 
thnx for the link,funniest thing ive seen in ages except those houses were somebodys pride and joy,the english geezer should be horsewhiped for that shambles,and the pole was just a chancer!
 
One of the best things I've seen in ages. Made me feel good about my own standard of work!

The moral of the story was that builders of any nationality can turn out to be cowboys. That said, if your gonna pay someone to ruin your house....might as well make it a British builder  ;D

The Polish guy reminded me a bit of Swiss Tony how he slobbered over the women. I thought he was gonna come out with the line 'building an extension is like making love to a beautiful woman....'  :o ;D
 
fair play to the pol hard working..researched his job...didn't cut corners, friendly, reliable, spot on any1 got his number?

Only problem i saw with that job was the customer especially the husband, angry f*cker treated him like sh*t...completely unreasonable. The electrician saw that he was onto a good thing ;)

as for the Brit hmmm how he can stand in front of that and say hes proud of it on camera i don't know...all mouth no quality there.

yea 12000 in slough m8...ever been to slough? one of the most run down places in the country. Still 12800 is cheap even for Slough.
 
looks like they just whacked the lot in the mixer then threw it on the wall with a shovel ;D

I agree the pol was hard working and done a good job, as for the husband he we of got a slap for sure.
 
Not long ago our eastern european mates were getting a slating for working cheap and being crap!
Now they demonstrate quality work and I just quoted £2k on a job and a Polish guy had quoted £6.5k!!

Good luck to him.
I got the job though! ;D
 
cna understand these particular polish chaps as they have left their families at home in poland for 5 weeks so understandibly they want to knuckle down get the work done get paid and go back home, what do we have to go back home to? sky high energy bills, discover some chavs have broken into our propertys and nicked out hi def tvs tho lok on the bright side we wont have to put u with anymore X factor/ pop idol dancing crap ;)


but that brick layer, terrie? he was just a typical lazy full of himself brick layer
 
i clicked it and watched the first 5 minutes or so, when that english bloke came out with 'lets get the cups and the kettle out first off' i thought... 'i can see where this is going'...
 
;D yeh, but to shout about it in front of the cameras, guy was a nob, i caught the dashin bit and him goin on about 'weathering'... and the pipe... i was sat there like 'who wants to be a millionaire'... nuff said...
they prolly filmed loads of builders but those two were prolly the 'best telly'...
not a true representation i thought... ive never come accross a builder that bad, well not one that was actually in business anyway, that looked more hammed up than anything else to be honest...
still... worth a look, didnt do the building trade much good though did it?
 
no ive never seen a builder that bad...... you never know with these tv programs today, they probably payed him to be that bad
 
thats what i mean, he's prolly been an extra in corrie or something...
 
at the end of the day,. who the feck is gona go on tv and do a s**t job and say there proud of it.... he's probably not even a builder. (what some people do for money...eh eh)

that fat brits dashing was shocking!!! Just a clueless cockney wide boy! Pole was hard worker. If that skinny home owner spoke to me like that i would of chined im!! mind u, I'd pork his missus ;)
 
OMFG that roughcasting  :-? that must be a wind up!

P.S that skimming is an absoloute riot, how can these people sleep at night?
