Hi guys , has anyone ever used bonding coat for skimming ? Looking for any info whether it can be polished up to a good finish ? Multi finish seems o be in a national shortage at the moment . Thanks .

Don’t bother Just use cove adhesive, it trowels up lovely!

I can't see any reason why a lightweight backing wouldn't trowel up lovely

I believe it's the required product for achieving the 'cottage finish' as recommended by @Olican and @Nisus

Go for it chap...when it starts to pull and feels grainy as f**k just give it a splash of water and a plastic trowel

It's better giving it 3 1st coats

I normally trowel it up with an ironing board comes up lovely then a cross trowel with wacker plate
