Just finished the inside of a bungalow, got the outside to start in a fortnights time.
At the front end, the gable has a panel of rough cast and another panel at floor level, surrounded by brickwork all of which has been painted, and now been wire wheeled back so all surfaces are free of paint, and flush. As the brickwork is flush with the panels were going to render over the lot meshing between the different substrates.
Theres a crack in the gable which is going to be meshed also, monos out of the question because never used it, so its going up in OCR.
I want to even out the suction between the different substrates, Rend aid is also out of the question as the builder running the job is a tight arse... Will a slurry of SBR and cement be sufficient to even out the suction if going onto it whilst tacky ?? Dont know much about this product but would Lankolatex slurried with cement do the same ? or be better ? And finally could the mesh be put up when the slurry goes on or better bedded into my first pass of OCR ?
Cheers AB
