What do you find best for skimming these the type which runs from the ceiling down the wall in one go tried skimming one today but was quite tight radius couldn't get cock all to work properly done me nut in even the plastic s*p*r*lex kept digging in as I tried to sweep it round

It's a rounded black rubber type knife if you type in net they are about 13/15 quid plus postage type in gyproc flexi knife aswell if no luck trying to put pic on for you but can't for some reason

Iv'e done a good few of these just lately, usually liverpool/chester area, I've jus been putting on with mt + flattening them with plazzi + troweling with s*p*r*lex, awkward in the corners tho! Also had to do one from scratch which was a ball ache!!

WOuld a plastic trowel not do the trick?

The one I had about a month ago there was no chance of getting a trowel in there for love or money....
Sweat dripping of me trying to keep on top of it...
Sponge in a sandwich bag got me out of that one but will Defford look into other ways lol

plazzi trowel from p1ss is great for them. sponge into the internals with a dry jumbo sponge, no ridges, nice and flat. trowel up with the nela flexi and small venetian in the internals. the internals will look w4nk unless you get them smooth first off

Wonder if the plasterers in the 20s/30s used a plazzi or a sponge in a freezer bag or a bat knife:RpS_sneaky:

probably not. they would have used something pertaining to that era. maybe a bit of hessian or a shagpile carpet wrapped in a safeway bag

Bottle cove

This was a little awkward so used midget trowel and a spatula.
