Brick lines/Scribing?

Hi all, I'm not sure if I have the terminology right but can anyone point me in the direction of a 'how to' guide on scribing the block lines into lime render. Or do you have any methods/tips? I've only done it once and that was 30 years ago I could do with a memory refresh! Thanks.

It's called ashlar jointing theres a cutter you need or a six inch nail bent over depends on how deep the grooves are . Not done any for years myself tbh

I have a tyzack ashlar jointer hidden somewhere . If you cant get hold of one use a new 115/125mm carborundum disk off and angle grinder. Grinding will be about 5mm thick cutting about 2.5mm.

The ashlar cutters are usually for deep recesses, if it’s a basic block effect you can use a level and pointing trowl
