British gypsum thanks you soo much NOT

after a long phone call to sheffied insulations and to British gypsum.
I took the plunge and went and got a load of there new uni finish.
went all the way to gibbs & dandy in gillingham (medway towns) payed £10.20p per bag with VAT
we done a living room reskim over artex ceiling and walls ill never be buying it agen.
good points: mixes really well nice and creamy
smelt nice spread really really good easy to work with.
bad points well over priced
next to no working time
bags are a bit on the cheap side easy ripped
not good for big sets over artex
ill never buy this gear agen and ill be leaving my feedback with BG tonight :RpS_cursing:
finished the job of with muilti in the end
 
It's in my local travis the job I'm doing which is going to take 3 days would cost an extra 80 quid imagine what that would total over a year if you used it all the time
 
i dont think i could live with the guilt of putting all the pva manufacturers out of work...especially before christmas. they have kids too you know!
 
Just got a booklet through from Keyline (TP subsidiary) and they've started stocking it. Dunno whether to try it on a small job.
 
I still think that there's a call for the Uni Finish but at those prices not on a big job when you've got the chance and time to get some PVA pushed on. When your called in to do the odd wall, ceiling or perhaps a room it's going to save time and be worth the extra cost.

i agree no body though about the baby pritt sticks at home relying on daddy pvas wages
