Bubbles (not the 65 kind!)

When skimming old walls on occasion I get small bubbles appear which really annoy me. I'll go back to the wall later and dry trowel over them to flatten them but why are they there in the first place?? I thought at first it might be something to do with the PVA but have used Bond It recently and they have appeared there also. Head scratcher to me :RpS_confused:

I used to think it was just sand cement, ignore the bubbles they settle eventually

You get blebbing from pva not being dry enough and also plaster being on to think and playing with it to much.
