You can buy arch former kits in bnq and just set them out at what ever distance you need. then either plasterboard over and skim or float as there meshed. If you pb get flexible beads.

Nah build a block wall in the doorway then chainsaw the shape out you want.
Then plaster as normal. ;)

Good point Barry I see what your saying ;D

Cheers mate. I think if we all put that little bit of effort in we could get free hand brick archways in fashion. Just need someone to do one on diy sos or something like that, then every idiot will want one. ;D

Yeah or a youbtube vid should do the trick for potential cunstomers ::)

Bring back free hand brick archways!!!! ;D

them mesh arch ways are crap and not accurate enough for my liking ,with pb you can cut it to what ever shape u want ;)

cut one out of plaster board. make a copy so youve got both sides, fix one side and use a square to make sure its level and square all the way round. then use a bendy bead but use the whole length, dont just use on the arch, the join onto the straight beads wont be as obvious if its not where the arch stops

all you need for that is about 8 noggins, cut the back of the under board ever 2 inches and stick a bit of gripfill on the sides of the board aswell

still got to fit timber to the inside of each arch so you can attatch the center piece.

From what I remember the last one I did I used board adhesive and bits of plasterboard then bonding to get the final shape and the skim beads and skimmed.... was a while ago though
