Butterfly Beads

Was chatting to a fellow spread today and he was asking me if i use butterfly beads instead of stop beads for the splayed angles on velux windows? he was trying to explain but i didnt have a scooby what he was on about.

Anyone used or heard of these??. Im popping in on his job the morn to see what this crazy fool is on about...................:RpS_confused:

Locusrite make these and I believe they also make them for Expamet as well, I've always got a few in the unit.

thanks @Fatarm saves flattening a bead out with the handle of a hammer or cutting a skim bead down to make ur own stop bead.... 2 wishes left ill save them for later pal.

I use 3mm skim stop on any angle over 90, just tack it to the side where the boards meets. Saves messing about with other beads trying to get them right.
 
Used them butterfly beads this morning and they are mustard £6 for a 3m bead though..............:-0. only place i know that does them is burrells ....................shirley there must be other company's?
