when you've built a stud wall and skimmed it do you just put a line of decorators caulk at the top after skimming where the plasterboard buds upto the ceiling??? is there any need at all .... will it crack? or with the plaster act as a filler any way???? thanks for your help and advise.... cheers

It will crack but probably not right away depends on how much movement there is, when it does crack just caulk it then, not worth doing for the sake of it.

Chances are it will crack ,well hairline crack any way sometimes i think its better to leave the plasterboard 5mm short from the ceiling line, fill it full of plaster when first coating and butt a scrim tape up tight to the ceiling line then cover when second coating chanes are that might not work, but then its down to caulk and and paint

anyone else find that wet corners very very rarely crack and dry opposites sometimes do especially if the second set is left to the day after whether the corner is scrimmed or not?
i usually lick the corner with pva if the adjacent wall is dry but if i forget somethimes i get a hairline..
