can i use plastic trowel for reskim

Hi i have been reading about the plastic trowels and was wondering about trying it out on this big wall i have to reskim again. Can i just use a plastic float for the entire process or do i put first coat on with steel trowel then flatten with plastic one and use it for second coat ..Any advice appreciated as i would like to give it a try and see the difference.

Don't bother with plastic mate there crap buy a s*p*r*lex trowel it will do what the plastic does only better and will last you alot longer.

U said plastic float ?!?!? Do you have a rendering float ?? Its for a different job mate if thats the case

The plastic trowels are only any good for the last couple of passes to polish the wall up.
